The pattern was designed for cotton and that fits the wide neck design better than wool--it’d be awesome as a sweater to thrown on in a breeze or at the beach . As a winter sweater I feel too drafty on the neck, and jewel-length sleeves are silly. Nevertheless,it is my sweatshirt sweater this year and has broken in well- looks better than in these just-off-the-needles images where I didn’t pull it up enough on my shoulders.
