This is a fabulous hat pattern for variegated and contrasty yarns. I almost always regret falling for variegated skeins since they knit up kind of blotchy at best, but in this case I wish it were even more contrasty and speckly.
The pattern is easy to read if you lose track of what row you are on (love) and is very cushy and quilted feeling (lovelove).
