Fun and simple pattern!

Mods:

• Striped per Yarn-Madness’ suggestions on her scrap Leksak project page.
• Daktari held double.
• One extra increase in the yoke.
• Shortened to waist length as personal preference and stash availability.
• When picking up for the center panel, I didn’t stop at the location directed in the pattern. I kept picking up along the garter edge because the stripes would have interfered with a clean-looking edge right at the neck.
• For the center panel I added six extra stitches (for extra width).
• Final decreases in the center panel were more rapid. I decreased on a WS row to hasten the finish but I also liked that it made it a little more pointy.
• Garter edges instead of crochet - already busy enough.
• All bind offs were done using the P2tog method. Cuffs were on the right side, center was on the wrong side.
• Used the random stripe generator to inspire my stripes.

Next time:

• Wool or wool blend (I like stretchy).
• Crochet edge - there are some really nice looking Leksak FO’s with the crochet edge!
• Three needle BO for a closed sweater.
