this hat was one of those all day knitting projects, not that I needed another hat but…I’ve been struggling to get the tension right for the Platte River Sweater, I’m still getting quite a bit of buckling, so this was another swatch for it. The tension on the hat is pretty good, but still a little off.

I cast on with a size 1 needle for the band and then switched to a size 3, I decreased for the crown by dividing into fifths, it created a neat snowflake on the top and seemed to give me a good angle for rounding at the top.

Still want to make another colorwork hat before attempting the sweater again.
