16 black squares with the rest an assortment of greens and greys.

Solid Grannies look better, or at least more authentic, for this project, since the “real” Creeper is pixelated. Any type solid square would work and might even look better than a granny….but I adore granny squares.

I put together with a slip stitch join. Next time I may do the blacks squares with a black join. Do not work your corner joins into the corner space unless using same colors.
