Knit yarn double

Beeing 2/3 through colour work I noticed I had forgotten the decreases…. (babybrain…) (Nov2015)

As I haven’t been so sure about the flowers for myself I decided to change the whole colourwork pattern and finally came to knit the lett-lopi-vest 1 which I have admired for long.
this pattern decreases a bit more around the neck which I think is good. It is easier to knit because there are no long distances in one colour before changing to the next one. - I am still struggling with working more than one colour on the needle…
The lett-lopi-pattern changes the look a lot. Will see how I will like it in the end (Dec 2015)

Finished after exactly one year… Puh!
knitted the collar piece three times until i was satisfied with the colours and the pattern. Still not satisfied with my coulourwork knitting. Need still so much more practise.
Lot of new techniques for me on this cardigan.
Like knitting colour work with two hands, the steeking of course and i-cord edge.
The steeking didn’t go as smooth as I thought it would and some cut ends became loose :( Maybe because of my bad tensions on the colour work…?
But I really love the look of the edges with steek sandwich and i-cord.
Not so sure anymore about the whole choise of colours. But you always only know in the end when it is finished and worn how it looks like.

The double alpaca yarn is quite warm though.

All toghether I think the pattern and instrcuctions by Kate Davies are very good, especially the techniques are described very well and easy to follow for not english and not so experienced knitter like me.

For the Colourwork I adopted the Lett-Lopi Pattern, so the collar is a bit smaller. I also changed the Létt-Lopi Pattern a bit.

After washing and blocking suddenly the sleeves and the body front turned out to be about 5cm longer.

The cardigan is more rusitc and heavy than I imagined it to be.
