I mistakenly knit this using the wrong needle size, so the shawl came out a bit smaller than indicated for the fingering weight dimensions.
I’m glad, though, because I’m short (5’1” with short arms) and it came out a really nice size for me.
I got a bit sick of knitting garter stitch, but the pattern is wonderful and it was easy to follow. It’s a very creative and lovely design.
My gauge with US 5 needles was:
18 sts and 36 rows = 4”
I only used 54 g for CC2, 50 g for CC1 and 70 g for MC.
I also used the (k1, k1, knit both sts through the back loop, repeat from to ) for the bind off. It’s very elastic and I loved it.
I was a little sad at how tight the top of the shawl is. This is the edge that is on the right side as you’re knitting the shawl. I tried to knit that first stitch very loosely, but it’s still pretty tight.
