Notes

I love this pattern! I followed the snowflake pattern. It doesn’t show up in the pics too well but you can see it clearly in person.

I made a few mods because I wanted the cuff area to fit more snug and I also wanted to use buttons for the flaps.

Round 55-66: Knit.
Switched to U.S. Size 4 needles.
Round 67: Ssk 1, k1tbl, p1 for 21 sts, ssk 1, (p1, k1tbl) to the end of round.
Round 68: I followed the pattern’s original instructions for Round 55. I then used Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-off.

Mitten one weight is 22 grams without loop and button.

I also used a U.S. Size 1.5 needle to knit loops for the flaps. I am adding 1/2 “ buffalo nickel buttons. I will post final finished pics soon.

I might line these mittens with a size 3 U.S. needle and Knitpicks Alpaca Cloud yarn.

Great pattern, I will be knitting more of these mittens!
