I used the yarn doubled to bulk it up but it wasn’t quite thick enough to achieve gauge. I was getting 10 stitches to 4 inches instead of 8, even after going up two hook sizes, so I knew it was going to come out small. To get round this, I added two more rows of increases before I started to go straight which added 14 more stitches.

As you can see, that worked a treat, the size is perfect.

I’m delighted with my new Autumn hat in time for the Autumn chill which has set in.
