Oops! I knit this without following the directions. I realized as I was uploading these photos that I knit directly from the chart, in the near dark while I was reading and didn’t bother to look up the chart symbols. So instead of slipping with the yarn in front I slipped with the yarn held in back. It’s still a nice textured stitch, but not what the designer intended. I sort of mashed up the two sizes in the pattern to fit my giant head (23+ inches). So, I knit the slouch size in number of stitches cast on and then the beanie size for length. It fits great on me as a beanie.
