I LOVE this FO! What a cutie!

Start to finish this guy works up in just a day or so. I made a few modifications.

First I had to go up a needle size b/c I didn’t have any size 4 DP’s on hand. This didn’t effect the final results at all. I opted to use the ear pattern from Last Minute Knitted Gifts rather than the crocheted ears as the pattern calls for and I am very happy with the results. Also, because I didn’t have any Poly-Pellets I used Morning Glory Cluster Stuff and it’s great for making toys of all kinds. My elefante stands and sits just fine this way.

After several unsuccessful attempts to use straight embroidery to do the eyes like the original I gave up and just used French Knots. And, I just “fringed” the tail rather than make a tassel.

I will definitely make another one of these in the future. In fact, I’m keeping it on my queue. This one is to be gifted to a friend’s child.
