Notes
  • Cast on for the largest size (“child”), but only knit 4” of brioche stitch before decreasing (“toddler” size) for a roomier, slouchier beret. I felt like the photos on the pattern page made it look like it was more of a tight beanie rather than a beret.

  • My Gauge: 7.5 sts = 1 inch in st st on US 2

  • Circumference @ Brim: 16 1/2”

  • Depth of Hat: 6”

  • Head Circumference of Wearer: 18”

  • I love that the crown decreases disappear right into the brioche pattern.

  • Used leftover yarn, so I’m unsure of the yardage. It didn’t take much, though.
