PATTERN CORRECTIONS/CHANGES:

  • Row 11 of turning the heel shouldn’t have a “k3tog”, so just ignore that.

  • Short Row Toe: knit the first 18 stitches, then work the short row toe across the LAST 18 stitches. I followed the instructions the first time, but that put the seam on the sole of the foot instead of the top of the toe (kinda weird).

  • I turned the sock with right sides facing before doing the 3-needle bind-off so the seam didn’t show. But it looks cute with a visible seam, too.

I learned quite a few new things with this pattern:

  • I figured out the long-tail cast on which made my ribbing look so much nicer!

  • This project required knowing “sssp”, which I had never done- or even seen- before. I found a poorly shot, and curiously silent, youtube video about it.

  • The yarn overs on the short row heel were confusing me, but luckily this photo tutorial cleared things up.
