The softest, silkiest, cuddliest Tribble ever!

This is basically just a knitted ball, knitted flat by increasing for a couple of rows, knitting straight and then decreasing.

I started with 15 stitches, which knitted up larger than expected, particularly after stuffing, but it is so lovely and squishy. I plan to do Tribbles in different sizes using smaller numbers of cast on stitches and knitting fewer rows. The pattern doesn’t really matter that much, as the faux fur is very forgiving, but here is what I did:

Basic ball pattern
Cast on 15 stitches
Purl
Knit, increasing into every stitch by KFB = 30 stitches
Purl
(K1, increase into next stitch) all along the row = 45 stitches
Purl
(K2, increase into next stitch) all along the row = 60 stitches
Continue in stocking stitch, depending on how big you want your Tribble to be, ending with a purl row - I did 31 rows
(K2, K2tog) all along the row = 45 stitches
Purl
(K1, K2 tog) all along the row = 30 stitches
Purl
K2tog all along the row = 15 stitches
Thread yarn through remaining stitches and pull up and finish off
Join side seam leaving a long tail, stuff then use the tail to gather open edge, pull up and finish off.
