Made in Drops Alpaca, held double. Knitted in the round, 72 sts - Nimbus is a small cat. :) The twisted ribbing is knit on smaller needles, as is the dark contrast row.

Nimbus’s owners, Josie and Henrik, are Harry Potter fans, and they’re getting the Ron Weasley blanket for Christmas. I thought Nimbus ought to have a classic Weasley sweater, with an N for Nimbus on the front and a broomstick on the back (since Nimbus is the name of Harry’s broomstick). I chose to embroider the patterns, as I doubt Nimbus would enjoy the strands on the back. (And because I knit in the round, obviously.)

Many people seems to have had problems with she shoulders. So did I. The missing photos in the pattern might have contained hints on how to do it. Anyway, since I didn’t want square shoulders, and because cats’ shoulders simply doesn’t look like humans’, I decided to only sew the side part in the square shoulder together, and add the rest to the neck. That seems to work well. Nimbus might or might not agree.
