Notes

Used two skeins in wildly different dye lots of the same color. Made it bigger by adding 3 repeats of 16sts to the ribbing. The skein for the ribbing and the garter edge at the top was very, very dark purple/burgundy with almost no color variation, and the skein I used for the lace part was mostly blue and olive, with subtle pops of the darker purple/burgundy. One skein was just barely enough to do the lace. I ran out of the darker color with about 2.5 rows plus the bind off left on the top ridge. Thankfully I had another skein in my stash that close enough to work.

When I soaked it before blocking the very dark yarn bled a bit, and I think it may have toned down the lighter, bluer center lace--not necessarily a bad thing. It was hard to capture the color tonight. I’m anxious to see what it looks like dry and in the sunlight.

Overall it has a wingspan of about 8 feet, and the deepest part of the crescent is about 2 feet. I love it and can’t wait for it to be cold enough to wear this!
