A gift for my birthday from Julibeth just when I was finished with all of my gift knitting and the Peace Cowl. Perfect timing!
I use the #2 needle for the ribbing and had to go up to #3 for the color work to get close to the gauge. I could have gone up even more, but like the look and tension on the #3; I like a snug fit.
It has been a while since I knitted color work and I had to remember that the color I want to show as dominant color needs to be carried closest to the project. See picture: I carry dominant color A below color B.

Some changes I decided on:
I worked through round 8 after the thumb gussets, even though I am working on the small size, to get a slightly longer mitt. For the thumb I worked round 2 in P1, K1 for the right mitt to line up the stitches. I also ended with an additional round 2 before binding off on a knit row.
