Notes

Naming them Düsseldorf Socken because the pretty cotton blend yarn was bought in Düsseldorf sparkling_heart in a yarn shop around the corner from where I lived for close to the first 21 years of my life.

Pattern: Using the construction of the HG sock pattern and the pretty stitch from the bandana cowl pattern.
The placement of the stitch-band is done similar to the way Gina placed the cable-band on her Hudson Valley Trekking socks which I had test knitted for her(unfortunately the pattern is not up on ravelry yet).

Sizing: During a recent shoe purchase I found out that my right foot is one US shoe size bigger than my left which translates into just a tad over 1/4“. I added three additional rows in the right foot before starting the pattern; truly custom made sweat_smile

January 2023: Three inches from the total desired length I worked the “x “ with my brand new cable needle which was a gift from a dear friend.
Then the gussets are worked as a wedge emerging from the center of the sole.
It’s a very clever way of doing this.
