A gift for my DIL to wear while she is recovering from surgery.
CO 46 sts; 24 for the front, 22 for the heel .
Worked two pattern repeats, then the heel flap ( over 22 sts) , the heel turn ( which I think is not written out very clearly, but OK for me since I have made many socks) and gussets.
Knit foot to 7.5”; 2” less than total length of 9.5” for a US size 8 shoe size.
Oh boy, just discovered three incorrectly crossed cables. Will have to fix them before starting on the toe.. Luckily it’s not too far down and it is in the four stitch cables. So it’s just a matter of dropping stitches far enough down and reworking those columns.
Note to self: If I knit these again, I would work the cables to mirror each other.
