Heard about this yarn in my knit group and am eager to try it. Hubby picked out the color and I chose just a simple pattern instead of doing my usual standard socks which I could do in my sleep. That way there is a little bit of interest.
Used the German Twisted Cast On once I realized that Judy’s Magic Cast on doesn’t get me anywhere on a cuff down sock
Cast on 68 sts as hubby’s foot is 10” and his leg 8” circumference opposite to the average foot to leg dimensions.
By using two circular needles I eliminated all the rearranging of the stitches indicated in the pattern for knitting on DPN’s. It made things MUCH easier.
I also worked these in my usual MO of two-at-a-time.
I did pick up and knitted the gussets with two additional DPN‘s ; this made the whole process easier still, at least to me.

It seems so upside down to me as my usual MO is to knit two at a time TOE UP.
It took a lot of fittings in the end to determine the final length for the foot.
