Notes

After all of the holiday knitting was done, I got very antsy and needed something to knit. Went through my stash and started on these socks.
CO 68 instead of 72 sts and using reversed st st for the sole so hubby’s fee will stand on a nice smooth surface.

I jumped right in and started these without much thought of matching the color sequence on the socks. I fixed it about 10 rows in by cutting out quite a lot of yarn from one ball of yarn.

I always like to refer to this video to get the start of the gusset for the Fleegle heel in the right place : fleegle Heel

I hit the nail right on the head with these; knocked it right out of the park, thus the name Volltreffer

  • Good fit ( especially for his high arch)

  • Good comfort with the reversed st st on the sole) and

  • Good looks ( Monet being his favorite painter).**
