I found this pattern when I cleaned up my paper stash of patterns. It is over 30 years old and I made one teddy for my son when he was born. I had lots of leftover cotton yarn and thought my daughter deserved a teddy too, although she is already 25.
The pattern was included in a box of Milupa baby cereals and the written instructions are very basic without any additional explanation (as many German knitting instructions are). I decided to make it a little girl teddy and will add a skirt.
Eyes are little round buttons, nose was stitched with brown yarn, and the red button is in place of the heart. Kind of a care bear.
