Pink and F%#ing Purple

I purchased roving ages ago that I meant to spin and knit into a black/grey/red “Bloody Raven’s Wings” shawl, except as soon as I started spinning, the yarn was pink and purple. This roving, coined “Pink and Fucking Purple,” due to my unadulterated frustration that it was not what I wanted, has sat at the bottom of my stash ever since. It turns out to be the perfect match for this yarn. My little 4-year-old is going to love these mittens.

Modifications

Made a double thickness wrist ribbing.

With smaller needle, CO 28 using a provisional cast-on and MC. Join.
K1, P1 for two rounds.
Switch to CC, work 18 rounds.
Switch to MC, work 20 rounds.
Fold in half with CC inside, and join two halves by knitting 2 sts together: one from needle, and one from provisional cast-on.

Continue as pattern indicates.
