I knitted these while waiting for my new niece to make her appearance. Sadly it was not to be on Nov 19th. We’re still waiting. At least she’ll have a warm hat and thumbless mittens to wear home!.

I made one addition to the thumbless mittens pattern. I added a 2 stitch i-cord to attach the two mittens together. These can be threaded through the sleeves of a coat/sweater so if a mitten falls off, it doesn’t get lost. It also helps keep them together in a diaper bag or when washing them.
