Notes

The pattern has some critical, albeit obvious, errors (e.g., # of sts, measurements, etc.) and some grammatical mistakes, but it’s pretty easy to figure out.

If I make this again, I would work the front and back extensions for 21-23 rows instead of 17. Or, alternatively, work the fronts/backs for 6 inches instead of 5.5 and then work the center back for just 5 inches instead of 6. Also, I would sew the extensions with the RS facing instead of the WS (it doesn’t curl much at the neck and the seam shows).

Picked up 3 for 4 (with a 3.75mm needle) along the bottom edge (166 sts). Knit 2 rows and bound off with WS facing using Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off.

5/26 - Need to sew it together.

5/25 - Just the second sleeve to go.

5/23 - Half-way mark.

5/23 - screwed up and had to take out the right front. Damn.

Cable CO with 3.75 mm needle and 4mm hook.
Knit 4 rows.
St st for 4 rows with larger ndl (beginning with a knit row).
Increase 2 sts in from edge, every 8th row, until 58 sts. then inc. every rs row until 66 sts. (end by working a ws row).
Using knitted cast-on, CO 34 sts at beg of next 2 rows (134 sts).
beg with rs, work in St. st for 30 rows (approx 5.5 inches).
Work short rows, following instructions for largest size. Put 67 sts on holder and work front extension on 67 sts for 17 total rows, ending by working a ws row.
Beginning with a knit row, work back in St. st for 34 rows.
With a new ball of yarn, CO 67 using a crochet cast on and size 5.5mm crochet hook. St. st for 18 rows (beginning with a knit row).
Worked short rows using the larger numbers.
St. st for 30 rows.
BO 34 using a suspended bind off, then same on other side. 66 sts left for sleeve.

PU 32 sts with ws facing. St. st for 18 rows. crochet cast off
