My friend saw my Boardwalk-hat and immediately wanted one for herself: no problem, I am happy to knit things that people actually want to wear :-) Mine was from Abuelita Merino Silk which is a little thicker than this Merino Worsted. This one is softer but the silk-version is shinier. I am knitting Katja’s hat on smaller needles to make it more snug. Otherwise, the lace part will be exactly as in the pattern.

CO 4x18 sts. Increased sts to 96 before starting the pattern (6 pattern repeats per row).

I am enjoying knitting this even more the second time around: easy pattern with great-looking result :-) Knit the whole hat on US4-sized needles: after the rib, knit exactly as the pattern instructs.

I love this yarn: soft and pretty. Good for a hat.
