This was a quick 3-day knit.
Modifications: I knit the band in one piece instead of binding off and picking up stitches for the button band. I didn’t bother with the button holes since the button will never be opened.
The top I knit K1P1 (helmineule) on every row and not in 2-row repeats as on the pattern.
4,5 mm circular needles on the band and 5 mm dp sock needles on the top.
The button is a green coconut button bought from Rovaniemi.

Edit 2012:
The pictures taken in better light are taken post-felting: someone threw the hat in the washing machine and it ended up being better than it was originally. The knitted hat was loose but the felted hat is snug and warm :-)
