These are super easy. They use 3 strands of yarn. You can use any kind of worsted weight cotton yarn. If you use 3 balls you can make a pair of potholders. You can mix and match to make lovely combinations.

Cast on 28 stitches with 3 strands. Since its a square, the easiest way to figure out if its square is to just fold it in half. (Photos 4 & 5)

And because they are knit with 3 strands of cotton they wear well and become tighter when washed. They make great gifts.

The nice about using 3 colors is that if you drop a stitch (picture 3) it’s really hard to see.
