Chart 1 complete. Put in a lifeline. So far, this has been a joy to knit, the chart is written like music and is clear and easy to follow. I found the lines of twisted knit stitches and the periodic k3togs to be as useful as stitch markers so didn’t need to use any yet. On to the next chart.

Chart 3 complete
I have studied chart 4 and read the notes from the author as well as raveler susanlacewing and I think I understand. I’ll still put in a lifeline before commencing!
Maybe worth noting that I have knit the whole thing so far on my phone and tablet with KnitCompanion. I’ve made a single pdf of chart 4 as well and hopefully won’t have to move to paper as I really struggle with keeping my place on a paper chart.

Well I cast.off this morning and I can’t stop laughing.
I had no trouble with the charts etc they were brilliant. Somehow I read that you do 5 repeats but i guess it should have been only 4 because I have a lovely shawl with an off centre double fan and 5 flowers. If i had done a single central fan it wouldn’t have mattered. I am so pissed off at myself.
I’m moving on for now. Next lace will be Alla’s chrysanthemum then I’ll reknit Lyra. Hilariously I made it so much bigger and wider by adding the extra repeat. No wonder I needed an emergency ball of yarn. Lol
Pattern is brilliant, I don’t understand some of the reviews, maybe they were for earlier versions.
If I get the heart to block it I guess I will post a final pic. Insert crying laughing emoji!

I also wanted to add that this is totally doable on a tablet or even phone. I made a single pdf of each chart and used KnitCompanion. It worked great except the 5 repeat thing which is just my silly fault not the technology.
