Trying 4 repeats instead of 8 to get a semicircular shawl.

Realised that I need to add some edge stitches to the first repeat of the motif. Trying mirroring as if it is knit in the round. Ripped back to about row 40 to start again and see if it looks more like it should.

It worked! On the second round of rows 31-88 I am doing 10 repeats

Just cast off. I decided I didn’t love the border as written in the original pattern so I substituted my own little peacock feather motif instead.

As usual my blocking is an atrocity, I will probably iron it when it’s dry to make it look beautiful.

I didn’t notice any errors in the pattern, I did find myself making small corrections to the stitch count from time to time but I’m pretty sure they were my mistakes, not the books? In any event it was an easy pattern to follow and knit.

Made myself a one page pdf for use with KnitCompanion and it made it a breeze to follow and keep track of the repeats within repeats.
