Feb 28: I finished this cardi, and I’m in love! It’s just being blocked now. I still need to seam the sleeves, but I wanted to block first to make it easier. Cannot wait to wear this with a white shirt and jeans. Such a classic look, and the colorway is so lovely and has a lot of depth.
Feb 19: I love this pattern! I also found a youtube video (http://www.yellowdogknitting.com/blogs/nanook-cardigan-by...) that goes through this whole pattern, and it has been helpful when I over think the pattern and get stuck. I’m now on to the first dec of the body, so from here on out it’s smooth sailing. I’ve had to start alternating my skeins, because the two skeins I bought from another raveller are really different from the three I had, but overrall, the effect is nice, albeit cumbersome. I worked the sleeves similar to how it was done in the how-to youtube tutorial, so both at once, working the sleeve flat, which was great because they both got done at once). I haven’t seamed my sleeves yet, I just placed the stitches on waste yarn because I want to see if I like the length once the body is done. I’m already looking at what colorway I’ll use next for this pattern :)
February 3: great pattern… Lovely yarn. I would have placed stitch markets for the lifted increases in order to avoid the headache of counting stitches for the increase spacing. About 7 cm left to knit before Co the sleeves. Will work the sleeves in the round.
Jan 30: this yarn is knitting up really nice. I’ve done 18 rows of the bear track collar pattern, which is really easy to memorize and the details look great.
Jan 23: did gauge using 4.5mm as indicated in the pattern. Spot on.
