This project taught me how to seam correctly - it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would. It was really intimidating when I first started out, but in the end I love how the finish product turned out. I also really like knitting with fingering - I’m now looking for my next project.
July 21: Yesterday I finished and blocked the sleeves - today I seamed them. I need to fix the shoulder seam and redo part of the bind-off, but once that is done I’ll be seaming the sleeves onto the body. I need to get the right size needle for working the selvage, but I am prepared and have already bought buttos. Hopefully I get this done by Friday.
I seamed one sleeve onto the body, and started the selvage along the front and collar. It’s coming along!
July 15: I cast on for the sleeves… I’m getting better at keeping focus on the WIPs that I have in progress- I nearly casted on a pair of socks but instead started on the sleeves.
July 9: Seamed the front and back panels - I should have made the XS as it’s a little baggy, but I may try to wash/dry it.
July 8: Front and back panels blocked. Going to start the sleeves once I get more work done on the brownstone sweater for the BF.
June 24: I’ve been slowly working on this, I guess my knitting has really slowed down when it got nice. The pattern is easy to read, and I’ve completed the front and back panels. On to the sleeves and the finishing touches. Looking forward to wearing this late summer / early fall.
May 17: Love this yarn - the color is really subtle and has hints of grey, blue and purple. It’s my first stroll tonal, and I love the quality and I can’t say enough about the beautiful color. Pattern is very well written with clear and concise instructions. I’ve done the waist increase, and working the st st until 15 1/2 inches are done.
