Notes

I picked this simple and easy coffee cosy pattern and modified it for my niece, MJ, who loves riding horses.

So I switched out the “cup of tea” motif with an “interlocking horseshoe” motif.

I looked at photos of horseshoes to figure out how to crochet one. I went simple and just chained a length that would fit nicely on the cosy and added one row of single crochet. Then I shaped the piece into a horseshoe. I crocheted two of them and interlocked them in place and stitched them down on the cosy with white yarn.

I added a nice rustic brown button from my button stash.

The light green yarn is from my stash too.

My niece loved it.
