Notes

Sunday evening I started to make plans about “what to do next”, since the Derecho tee was close to finish.

While I had set my mind on making the Oroshi shawl in Strawberry, I started wondering how the Remix Light would crochet. After a weekend of crocheting cat pads for the local shelter … no wonder!

I browsed through patterns and found the Antigone, interestingly also designed by Alison Green. Well, that settled it.

As of yesterday I reached EOB1, end of the first ball. Again, the Remix Light surprises with its yardage, and the feel of the fabric is such as cozy flannel. The yarn is so easy to work with, it’s a delight. Also, at first I was skeptical about the red strawberry color, but it turns out to be beautiful.

Pretty amazing.

All done! This was a fun, easy, fast project.

I can highly recommend the Berroco Remix Light for crochet projects. It is thin enough that the fabric doesn’t get too bulky and/or heavy, as it often is the case with crochet. At the same time the feel is super soft, very desirable!

I did start a third ball. If you want to do it with two balls, just don’t crochet the last finishing row. The picture with the started ball shows you how much is left of the second ball before I started the final row.
