Note that you will only need about 60 yards of each color to complete the project.

How to do it:

• The yarn is woven double-stranded.
• Make 3 hexagons using one strand butterscotch and one strand pepper.
• Make 3 hexagons using two strands of butterscotch.
• Sew the three mixed hexagons to form a row.
• Sew the three butterscotch hexagons to form a row, then sew that row to the top of the mixed row.
• Sew the side seam.
• To form the bottom, have the three tips of the mixed hexagons meet in the center, sew seams.
• At the top, flip over the butterscotch tips and sew into place as shown in the picture, leaving an opening at the top so that you can pull through the string.
• To make the string, use one strand each of the butterscotch and pepper, 60 inches long, and twist a cord. Pull the cord through the top of the sachet.
• Sew on the beads as pictured. Knot the clasp into the cord, leaving about 4” tails.

Wear this little sachet as a pretty accessory on your jeans belt, attach it to a purse or back pack, or clasp it to a jacket or skirt as pictured. The little sachet is designed after the traditional money purses on Trachten.

The Berroco Remix Light “Butterscotch” is a beautiful, saturated deep yellow. The yarn world has recently been a little low on pretty yellows, so I’m really happy to see this color. At first, it reminded me of amber, and that sparked the idea to find some amber and use it for this project. While looking for amber beads I found the tiger eye and decided to go with that. Needless to say … there’s more to explore!
