Wishful “me” project.

I chose the size based on the yarn I had in stash … it “should” fit!

Gauge already know from Carra, ready for cast-on on June 19th …

It’s been a good “mindless knitting” weekend in anticipation to get to the “interesting part” … I’ve added about 4” to the length that is suggested in the pattern, and I’m now ready to switch colors / start the front/back split / start the pattern stitch …

Got started on the lace pattern and loving it. I’m using the thinner US 4/3.5mm needle for the lace section to compensate for my slightly looser lace pattern knitting, and it looks like it’s working out well.

However, while stash diving last night I found some Elba yarn, had an idea, and that is now “urgent”, so I will put the Huachuca on hold for a little while …

Finished the first side this weekend, now working on the second side.

I’m following the recommended sleeve opening … I’m somewhat skeptical that it might be tight, but then, I also don’t want it to be too open.

I added 5 sts on each side to the shoulders, to make the neck opening a little bit smaller.

Oh so totally enjoyable to knit, so totally perfect to wear!

Thank you, Martha!
