Notes

I’ve put off using this yarn because the idea of having to alternate skeins in a garment seemed to intimidating! It turns out to be not so bad after all.

I cast on with skein #1 and worked about a dozen rows, then added in #2 and alternated them. After separating the sleeves and joining at the underarm, I worked a stripe in each yarn, then cut #2 (the heavier ball at 54g) and joined #3.

Being unsure how far my yarn is going to go, when I got to the end of #1, before I joined a new skein, I completed the sleeves.

I started the sleeve with #2 and after picking up all my stitches, I worked two rounds, then joined skein #4 and worked the sleeve in helix striped with both balls. I’d used about half of #2 as I got to the cuff so I cut that yarn and worked the cuff solely in #4. I worked the second sleeve in the same way.

I then continued with the body, joining #4 and continuing to alternate skeins. Worked until the body was 150 rows in total, then continued in k2, p2 rib on the larger needle for another 30 rows.

PUK 100 stitches around the neck and worked 45 rows of k2, p2 rib, then folded it over and knit each stitch with the original picked up stitch, casting off as I went.

PUK 116 stitches for each button band, working 13 rows of k2, p2 rib.
