I made this sweater for my Mom years ago. She’s always loved sea shells, and the knit/purl scallop shell design on the front and back of this sweater was perfect for her. I’ve long ago lost the pattern, but I think it was from a Bernat pattern booklet, and was probably designed to be knit out of cotton yarn. Mikado Ribbon from Crystal Palace was a wonderful drapey cotton/rayon ribbon that came in beautiful colours. I think it was discontinued at one time and is perhaps available again, but whether or not it’s the same I don’t know.
