I crochet tight so I have to go up 2 hook sizes than recommended, and sometimes make adjustments to stitches.

Changes:

In the first 8 rows, I did not count dh 2 as a stitch, I ch 2 and dc into same stitch then Sl st into first dc.

Rows 9-17 I ch 3 instead of 2 and counted the ch 3 as the first stitch.
