I could have used an extra 40 yards of yarn, to get the same ruffle width as pictured.
Challenge-nerdology: Heros vs Villians
It is said a hero is only as good as their enemies. Thus, a good story has to have a well-written villain, somebody that earns respect. After all, what is a hero without a villain to challenge them?
The villain usually is the antagonist, the character who tends to have a negative effect on other characters whereas the hero is often simply an ordinary person in extraordinary circumstances, who, despite the odds being stacked against him or her, typically prevails in the end. A hero may exhibit characteristics such as superhuman strength and endurance that sometimes makes him nearly invincible.
For this challenge look at the villains and heroes in another nerdery and craft a project to show which side you are on, choose a villain or hero and tell us why.
Good versus evil, Villain or hero. Which are you?
Examples of modern heroes are Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Bilbo Baggins, Luke Skywalker, Batman, Dr Who, Captain Mal and Buffy.
Some modern villans are Lord Voldemort, Darth Vader, Dr Horrible, Emperor Zurg and Gollum.

For this challenge I’ve selected the reluctant hero, Dean Winchester of “Supernatural,” represented by team Impala. Dean is the perfect hero because he never set out to be one, its simply what he is, it’s in his nature.
He frequently wears an open green army jacket over his shirt. This visually describes him: the jacket is worn open, casual, not at all what would be considered proper dress in a very structured military. That’s Dean, unstructured, casual, shoots from the hip, ready to adapt to the next situation. But the jacket is army, it screams defender, protecter, the good guy coming to the rescue.
I was inspired by the color of this jacket to make this heros and villans. It is the same shed green as the army jacket.
Team Tie In:
The standard army jacket is also worn by Xander, in season 2, Episode 6, “Halloween.” Xander dresses as (of all things) as a soldier. The is the same color as the shawl. :)
Maybe I should have named it the Army Shawlette?
