I am really enjoying making this and although I am a beginner, I am getting to grips with the techniques needed with a thank you to the designer who has helped me understand buttonholes. I’ve decided to make 6 buttonholes, one on every 1st row on the right front piece I am presently making. I’ve also chosen a different yarn to the one recommended… instead I bought a 100% acrylic which is working well and I am happy with it. Beautiful fresh spring shade and only £10!

I made a swatch of the main pattern which was too large (fewer stitches per 4 inch than needed) so I swapped to 4mm needles and then 3mm for the ribbing.
