Although the pattern asks for 4.5mm needle, for the correct tension I’m using a 4mm (straight and circular). I’ve never used circular needles before so I’m looking forward to trying them out for the sleeves and neckline.

Update If I make this again, I will make the arms longer. Loved using the circular needle (tried dpn’s and the stitches kept slipping off). Looking forward to wearing in the autumn with a long sleeve top underneath.

I did the standard rib (knit 1, pearl 1) for the sleeves and bound off (cast off) in knit on the sleeves. For the bottom rib, I knit through the back loop instead of the standard knit, which I much preferred. I used this same technique for the neckline rib and I bound off in pearl which made a neater neckline than a knit bind off.

Update** I made another Hotness top in a smaller size for my twin sister, longer arms and with an extra panel of lace (starting at just before decreasing for the arm) which I much prefer but I can’t find a photo at the mo.**
