I’ve used up yarn left over from some other projects. I’ve worked around from the outside of the slipper as in photo 2. A quick project although the second slipper has turned out a lot neater giggle.

The base seems quite small but I’ve added 2 more rows at the top with double crochet decrease on either side of the ankle which holds it nicely to my foot.
