I made this following the pattern to make a S-M that is normally sized to be 6 3/4”. However, because I used two strands of a lighter thread (#10, metallic), it produced a larger final diameter of 7 1/2” and a slightly heavier piece.

Blocking was a must, as the piece really curled up. I just turned it over, placed on a towel, and steamed it (focusing on the lower edge). I do LOVE the Ecru metallic thread and the metallic looking beads (Moon Beads brand).
