Notes

6/6/11 - I seamed up the cast-on edge using elastic. Sewed a gray pillow case to put stuffing in since I hate seeing the white peak through and I wanted it to be more washable since I am using it as a photo prop.

Turned out more tubular than spherical but I think that could be solved by making in wider and shorter next time and maybe using those bean baggy things rather than polyfil. The kids love it and I think it would be adorable to do a whole series in rainbow colors.

6/3/11 - I think I am done and I only used three skeins. I am a little worried that it won’t be wide enough for its intended use (baby photo prop) but I am hoping once I figure out what to stuff it with my worries will fade away.

Using less bulky yarn and smaller needles. Cast on about 41 stitches (need to double check) with three strands.

Working in the round to save myself from seaming.

This is my project after having a lace project pulled off my needles by my 1.5 year old! Little worried that it is going to be too small to use as a photo prop. If it is I might turn it into a baby cocoon or a chunky cowl for a Christmas present.
