Each finished square is 8” x 8”, and I’m making a total of 60 squares. The final afghan will be 6 squares by 10 squares.

To join the squares, I’m planning to single crochet through the back loop, with right sides together. I think. With some sort of edge.

9/1: Done! Hooray! I attached all the squares with a slip stitch, a la Attic24, and finished it all off with two rows of single crochet around the outside, with nice curved corners. Threw it in the dryer with a dryer sheet and a damp washcloth just to (hopefully) de-cat hair it and fluff it up. It feels wonderful and I can’t wait to give it to my brother (he’s 50!) this weekend. I am SO glad to be done with this.
