- First skein: 232 grams = 536 yards. Too big to wind on my winder!
- Second skein: 261 grams = 603 yards. I think maybe I misread the scale, because that is way over.
- Third skein: 253 yards = 585 yards. I guess I didn’t misread the scale on the second skein!
- Fourth skein: whoops! I forgot to weigh it. Let’s assume it was exactly 227 grams/525 yards.
January 1: knit 11 rows of 1x1 rib before starting cables.
January 8: alternating skeins for the last 15 or so rows of the right front to avoid running out too soon.
. Finished right panel and co for the left.
January 12: bit of marathon knitting over the last 24 hours; just joined the right and left fronts and am preparing to pick up stitches for the back. Stockinette, ho!
January 13: cast on 72 for sleeve, knit 11 rows in ribbing, then 75 rounds stockinette before binding off.
January 15: cast on second sleeve.
January 17: second sleeve finished. Back to the back. So much stockinette…
January 21: MLK day! Inauguration day!! Only 6 1/4 inches to go on the back (plus 11 rows of ribbing). Can I do it all today?
January 22: soaked in the tub and blocking according to the pattern, except blocked the cable patterns about 2 inches wider than required.
January 24: Done! All sewn together and ends in and everything. I like this, and think it’ll be great for super cold, loungey days.
The yarn is fantastic, and I’ll definitely use it again for sweaters. Really great to knit with.
The pattern was good - easy to follow, the cable panels were interesting enough to not be boring, and the stockinette was good for mindless knitting.
