I relied heavily on the mods of Knitapolloknit (http://www.ravelry.com/projects/knitApolloknit/capucine).

CO 90 with the Malabrigo and Wool-ease held together using 10.5 needles. Knitted the ribbing for 10 rows, then switched to 2 strands of Malabrigo held together for the garter stitch section. Did about 25 rows of garter stitch before joining in the round (approx 7.25 inches from CO edge). Knit 4 rows of stockinette before starting decreases. Made braids instead of tassels, which used up exactly all of the Malabrigo and the partial skein of Wool-ease I’d been using.

This feels like a comfy warm hat, and I am completely in love with the fall colors of the Malabrigo. We’ll see how it does in real-world conditions.
