I really wanted to use the same yarn (Shalimar Yarns Haven) that the designer used, but I knew I wouldn’t get it in time to finish my project before the deadline. The yarn I chose was wonderful to work with though and I loved the results.

Misc. notes for myself

• Long-tail cast on was really tight -- next time use a cable cast on.

• Used a Size 10 needle to bind off.

• After ribbing and decreases, use a stitch marker every 27 stitches

• Swatch! Wash, block, measure.

• Denise needle set; perfect for the dark, slippery yarn
