Notes

What I did: Cast on 8 stitches using the recommended cast on (watch the video linked below to see how to cast on) — anywhere from 8-12 stitches is great — knit (garter stitch throughout) until it’s the desired length. One skein is all you need to make a typical scarf

There’s a great YouTube video with helpful tips for working with this yarn.

Instant gratification!

My impressions of the yarn and process: As I mentioned in my blog entry, I didn’t enjoy the process of knitting the scarf. You might! I used my Brittany birch straight needles and this project doesn’t lend itself to being set aside -- I picked it up once and because the stitches are incredibly loose, they fell off the OTHER end of my needle, resulting in dropped stitches that I was ultimately able to salvage (thankfully) but it wasn’t easy! It’s best if you can complete the project in one sitting (2-4 hours).
